About the event
Description
Trainees will learn seven core competencies that will help them understand and integrate emerging science about the adolescent brain into their work with youth. Participants will learn how experiences in the Foster Care System itself can contribute to negative outcomes for youth and how positive experience can rewire the brain to heal from trauma. Participants will also learn the importance of giving youth voice and choice because the skills that are not used brain science tells us that it is lost.
Format
This course is an online training that consists of 6 sessions that are 2hrs each for a total of 12 hours.
