Foundations – Level I Training
Description
Trainees will learn the Seven Core Principles and practice steps of the Fostering Success Coach Model. Participants will learn a primary set of coaching skills that are designed to promote real-time collaborative engagement and empowering solutions with young people in everyday problem-solving.

This course is an online training that consists of 16 sessions that are 1.5hrs each for a total of 24 hours. This typically happens over the course of 16 weeks (meeting once a week) during traditional work hours. However, there are times we have trainings where we shorten the amount of weeks by meeting more than once.
Trainees are expected to be present for at minimum, 21 hours of the 24 hours. There are three times coaches will be expected to complete practice coaching sessions for review (during class), and all of these are required.

Applications – Level II Training
Description
Trainees will build on the knowledge, principles, and skills learned in the Foundations course by solidifying primary skills and developing advanced skills including coaching to evoke awareness about common beliefs held by young people who experienced a childhood of adversity, coaching highly stressed or distressed young people, and accelerating action planning and accountability.

Format
This course is an online training that consists of 23 sessions that are 1.5hrs each for a total of 34.5 hours of synchronous participation. There will be an additional 10.5 hours of asynchronous work for a total of 45 hours.
There are two times coaches will be expected to complete practice coaching sessions in front of their peers, and two times you will be coached in front of your peers. The asynchronous work consists of reading material, and watching/reflecting on practice coaching sessions. All asynchronous work is self-paced, but needs to be completed within two weeks of the last in person training session.

Mentor Coaching
Description
Mentor coaching is focused on strengthening knowledge and skills learned in the FS Coaching coursework. During Mentor Coaching, coaches will have an opportunity to hone their coaching skills through direct feedback, reflection, and scaffolded learning sessions. Participants will fully integrate the FS Coach Model with the ICF Core Competencies, towards applying effective coaching practice with young people.

Sessions: Five group sessions, 90 minutes; three 1:1 sessions, 60 minutes.
