Equity Grounded Coaching

The Equity Grounded Coach (EGC) training offers a judgment-free group learning experience designed to bolster coaches’ capacity to more intentionally live out their equity-mindedness in their work. Using the theory of Cultural Humility as a starting point, participants explore the dynamics of power and oppression that are ever present in our lives and operating in our relationships with one another. We move on to examine the ways in which we internalize various forms of oppression and risk unintentionally harming those we coach. The training focuses on cultivating critical self-knowledge to reduce harm in relationships with coachees, which in turn serves coaches’ capacity to engage coachees in ways that allow them to feel whole and seen in their full authenticity.  Through self-reflection and large and small group discussion, participants will leave with actionable steps to implement equity grounded approaches in their practice. The training is grounded in the values of inclusion, authenticity, transparency, accountability, collective learning, joy and deep listening.

This training will consist of four 2-hour virtual sessions from 2pm-4pm ET/11am-1pm CT:
