
Timothy Liggins

Timothy Liggins, one of our Associate Trainers, is a DHHS Campus Coach with the Seita Scholars Program at Western Michigan University. Tim is an alumnus of WMU, earning his bachelor’s degree in social work in 2001. He has several years of experience working with youth in residential facilities. Tim has been employed with the Department of Health and Human Services for the last 16 years, working with individuals and families who have experienced foster care. Tim began working exclusively with the Seita Scholars Program in 2009 and has served in numerous roles. He was the program’s first DHHS Liaison; supporting students to connect with foster care related resources. Tim was also Kalamazoo County’s first Michigan Youth Opportunities Coordinator (MYOI). Over the last 6 years, Tim has transitioned to the role of a full-time campus coach. He also facilitates one of the program’s identity groups; “Engaging Men”. Tim has been a member of the Center for Fostering Success training team since 2016. He has had the opportunity to co-facilitate CFS Coach Model trainings with individuals throughout the country.
